A pre-meeting for the Troy "Quick Response Team" was held on 1/10/17 and brought together representatives from the Troy Police Department, the Troy Fire Department, Miami County Recovery Council, and the City of Troy. The QRT is a collaborative effort that combines the resources of emergency medical services, law enforcement, and chemical dependency treatment to address the mounting drug problem in our community. Every week, the QRT visits individuals who have experienced heroin overdoses and other substance-related issues, offering options for treatment along with support and encouragement.

On the 4th of Oct the Miami County Recovery Council joined the Troy Fire Department and the Troy Ohio Police Department to launch our Quick Response Team (QRT). The QRT is a collaborative effort aimed at addressing the growing trend in heroin overdoses throughout our community. A team comprised of representatives from each of these agencies, visited the homes of individuals who have recently experienced life-threatening emergencies due to substance abuse, offering these individuals support and treatment options. The QRT will continue to follow up on those who were visited, as well as reaching out to others who may benefit from intervention and treatment services. MCRC is extremely grateful to the City of Troy, Ohio Government for its support and encouragement regarding this important endeavor.
