Behavioral Health Counselor (Mental Health and Substance Use)

Opening for an experienced professional to provide outpatient counseling services, primarily for clients in need of mental health services. Client population will include some children and/or adolescents. Experience and proficiency in diagnosing/treating mental health and substance-related issues is preferred and the candidate must be comfortable working with criminal justice clients in the outpatient setting.

*** Please note: appropriate and valid licensure is required for this position.

Knowledge of local resources available to clients in Miami County and surrounding communities is desired. Dual licensure (mental health and substance use disorder) preferred.

Social Detox Nurses (flex hours and pool shifts needed)
  
Part-time opening for an RN or LPN to work “flex” shifts @ the Hope House, a social detox facility operated by Miami County Recovery Council.  Open shifts include two evenings (typically 2 hours) through the week and three shifts on weekends (every other Saturday and Sunday) that include morning, afternoon and evening (approximately 2 hours each) to assess symptoms and provide medication administration to clients going through detox in a residential setting.
  
Knowledge of addiction and familiarity with the opiate/opioid withdrawal symptoms preferred. The ideal candidates will have an interest in treating the clients of Miami County Recovery Council, assisting them in successfully detoxing from opiates and other substances. 
 
A minimum of two years nursing experience in withdrawal management and/or medication assisted treatment preferred.
 
Required License: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
 
Will need to live in close proximity to Troy due to the short shifts required for this position. Competitive pay and great support by the MCRC staff.
